Council Meeting

THAT the Council meeting of April 1, 2014 be called to order at 7:00 p.m.

THAT the minutes of the March 11, 2014 Committee of the Whole meeting be approved.

THAT Council supports the resolution of the Corporation of the Municipality of North Grenville and directs that this resolution be sent to the Premier of Ontario and Minister of Agriculture and Food, the Minister of Rural Affairs, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and the Municipality of North Grenville.

THAT Council requests that the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) defer any decision on quarry applications until such time that the official plan amendment and the rezoning applications have been finalized. AND That Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) be advised that Council has serious concerns with the unfair application, on neighbouring properties, of the one sided application of the area of influence requirements, on any applications.

McPhail THAT Council receive the Planning Reports dated March 27 and 28, 2014 for information.

McPhail THAT Council receives for information the Accounts Payable and Payroll Listing dated April 1st, 2014 in the amount of $1,804,379.35.

McPhail THAT Council award the Tender #2014-13, Dust Suppression Program to Morris Chemicals Incorporated in the amount of $348,379.00 including HST.

McDougall THAT Council approves the bid of Kal Tire for the supply and repair of the Township's Tire and rim requirements.

McDougall THAT Council approves the bid of Avery Weigh-Tronix for the Supply and Installation of a 60 foot Portable Truck Scale System at the Portland Waste Disposal Site.

THAT Council receives for information the following committee meeting minutes: • Public Services Committee meeting held February 18, 2014 • Storrington Recreation meeting held January 27, 2014 • Storrington Recreation meeting held February 24, 2014 • Portland District and Area Heritage Society meeting held February 25, 2014 • Loughborough Recreation meeting held February 24, 2014 • Loughborough Canada Day meeting held March 19, 2014

THAT the Council meeting of April 15, 2014 commence at 1:00 p.m.

THAT By-law 2014-23, being a by-law to confirm generally previous actions of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac be given first and second reading this 1st day of April, 2014.

THAT By-law 2014-23, being a by-law to confirm generally previous actions of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac be given third reading, signed and sealed this 1st day of April, 2014.

THAT the Council meeting of April 1st, 2014 be adjourned at 8:17 p.m.
